I have no idea what this post will be about. If anything. This view from where my body sits at the moment. Under a palm tree, in the shade, but feet and coffee mug in the sun.
Waves may appear not too tall or mighty. Just be on the rocks and try to keep standing when the rush of "not too tall or mighty" waves hits you in the legs, or chest. Then you feel the power. As you watch it on your rear end from the rocks (or maybe even dragged along with it out toward the ocean!). Ah, tourists. We only lose a few each year that way.
But knowing how to stand and anchor to the rocks when the wave surge comes in means you can be stable and not get knocked over. My favorite stance is the sumo stance, but more standing than crouched, with both feet anchored against a rock crevice or bump, knees bent towards the onrushing wave, palms flat and talking to the water as it comes in. Just happened like this today.
The waves love to speak to you. They love to play with you. Often I ask, at the end of my swim, "So how did I do today?" If i "did well", then the answer comes as a really big set of waves.
Anyway, so these energies coming in right now, they're getting more and more like those big swells. More tsunami like (and a tsunami is really a big wall of water, rather than a breaking wave like on Hawaii Five O). Lots of power.
So it seems this wave post came in to remind us all to stay grounded to the planet as these waves come in. And if you need some help, turn to your local sumo station and watch what they do!
