Sean Stone and Lanny Sinkin

Lanny Sinkin (who is Ali`i Mana`o Nui of the Kingdom of Hawai'i) was interviewed by Sean Stone of RT about the proposed Mauna Kea telescope, which, of course, brought up the question of the "status" of "Hawai'i, and its lands.

This is perhaps one of the most grounded presentations I have seen about what is going on "up there on Mauna Kea", and why, and what is going on with the Kingdom. This is (in my view) BIG... to have it "out there" on RT. It is a grand exposure to the world of the concept that "Hawai'i is still a Kingdom".

Sean Stone is an actor and director (bio), known for Natural Born Killers (1994), The Doors (1991) and JFK (1991), and the son of Oliver Stone. Tyrel Ventura, the host, is the son of Jesse Ventura (former governor of Minnesota).

Here is a link to a VT post about their new RT show (video), Watching the Hawks.

[Lanny Sinkin] The RT network reaches upwards of 700 million people and is one of the largest, if not the largest, news providers to YouTube. Supporters of the restored Kingdom made a connection between the King and Sean Stone of RT. At the King's request, Sean visited with me over Skype about the controversy created by the Thirty Meter Telescope proposed for the sacred mountain of Mauna Kea. RT broadcast a five minute portion of that interview on Tuesday, April 21.

The RT program is called Watching the Hawks. Totally appropriate for our message (see seal below, right). The viewing audience for this show is reportedly around 10 million. We are grateful to RT for the opportunity to tell our story to the world.
