hawaiian_kingdom_shield_21I'm going to say that first off, I do not know all of the details about a symposium held on O'ahu on November 1, sponsored by Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA), but I know enough to write this post.

Here is a page that describes it: Summit V: Final event in the Kāmau a Ea series

Event: Educational governance symposium (Final event in the Kāmau a Ea series)
When: November 1, 2014; 9 am – 4:30 pm
Purpose: To hear expert panelists discuss potential pathways to and outcomes of international and federal recognition
Where: McKinley High School Auditorium • 1039 S King St., Honolulu, Hawai'i 96814

Now do you all know who William McKinley was (after whom McKinley High School was named)? Well, he was the President who approved the illegal "annexation" of Hawai'i(as a war measure) in 1898 (even though his predecessor, Grover Cleveland, did not approve the annexation of the Kingdom because he said it was clearly illegal).

As I understand it, Professor Francis Boyle was supposed to speak on Independence for Hawaii, but rather, when it was apparent that the intention of this symposium was to promote "nation within nation" (or something similar), and make the Kanaka Maoli into Indians, or something like that, he walked out of the conference.

Anyway, part of me was strongly moved to write this comment on the OHA Facebook page, about this event.

[Kp] How many times has this illegally occupying government (aka U.S.A) tricked the people of Hawai'i (as well as other indigenous groups all over the world) into believing that if they just "keep riding with us, you'll be okay"?

The U.S. government is an illegal occupier, and has never had any legal standing here. There never has been a "Territory of Hawai'i". There never has been a "State of Hawai'i".

There is only the "Kingdom of Hawai'i".

The Kingdom of Hawai'i still exists today.

I suggest to all Kanaka Maoli, and to all those who support the recognition of the Kingdom, to begin living that way. And speaking that way. And sharing with friends, ohana, and malihini [visitors], in that way.

I STATE THIS NOW FOR ALL TO READ... "I do NOT recognize the "State of Hawai'i" in this Hawai'ian archipelago called, the "Kingdom of Hawai'i". I do NOT recognize ANY authority of ANY government OVER the Kingdom of Hawai'i.

"I recognize ONLY the Kingdom of Hawai'i and I am a SUBJECT of the Kingdom of Hawai'i."

There are several supporting documents, letters, videos (including Prof. Boyle's) at this link: http://kauilapele.wordpress.com/category/hawaiian-kingdom-2/

I suggest to stop playing games with groups that constantly promise and promise then trample your lands and your identity, and give you less than WHO YOU ARE.

Tools are available to help all who choose this path, of living and BEing in the Kingdom of Hawai'i. And more are being put together right now, as I write this.

THIS IS THE KINGDOM OF HAWAI'I. Come stand behind and support your Mō`ī... and BE the Kingdom of Hawai'i.

[And an ADD-ON...]

Another thing, as a friend of mine wrote to me... "It was only appropriate that OHA made it clear they were going to sell out the Kanaka Maoli by choosing the William McKinley High School built in honor of the US President who illegally annexed Hawaii in 1898 in order to do so."

I can tell you this, this land and its ancestors will NEVER be satisfied with anything less than a full restoration and full recognition of the "Kingdom of Hawai'i" as the only nation that has been here before 1-17-1893, since 1-17-1893, and the only nation that is here, now.

Now is the time to rise up within, and together, and BE "The Kingdom of Hawai'i"."

Here are a couple of earlier comments on the OHA Facebook page.

[SKB] "I watched the whole thing on steaming here in California today! Very interesting discussions. No negotiation with feds without a government to government RELATIONSHIP. Food for thought. Hawaiians will have to agree as to what the entity will be to negotiate and/or propose to the fed government."

[BrM] "Seems pretty cut in dry to me as well, sign up for the roll, you may run as a delegate by being on the roll or vote for a delegate and remind him or her that the only vote that should be made is to second the motion for the restoration of the Kingdom of Hawaii. I'm glad we got Francis' legal opinion to inform us to do this at the convention."

[KH] "I'm going with Boyle. Signing over our rights to the U.S. is crazy. There goes our future generations. We don't need to have a relationship with the U.S. We just need to kick them out."
