December 23, 2015 Pilamaya yelo. Wopila.

"Pilamaya yelo" is the Lakota word, and a close approximation to the Dakote word, spoken by a man, a male, for the words, thank you.

"Wopila" is a Lakota word that is an offering of giving/sharing, a thanks given for all of existence and the blessing inherent in each moment of it. A Wopila is often offered in ceremony and as a broad statement of thanksgiving within a community.

So, as I am here with family again during this time of year, I give thanks for the fact that I still have a family, and extended family of many cousins & close friends, this community, with whom I can celebrate this Holiday Season. These are literal family members whom I usually see only once or twice a year.

Just as important, to all of you, my community, my Terran family across the globe, who are choosing to continually awaken, who ask many questions that have to do with the future of our world, our place in the galaxy and what is next for us as we continually evolve;

Know that all of us, and each one of us, we are all part of the greater universal life force that permeates all life across the cosmos, the miracle of creation, what many call the "Creator". That at the core of this life force is the energetic vibration of pure love. It is this element from which each of us is created. It is measurable and palpable. Among other elements, it is inherent too in the creation of all the stars.

It has no specific relevance to gender. It encompasses the emotional traits of kindness, forgiving, patience and understanding... even when we don't understand another's perspective. This is called compassion and empathy.

Equally important, the vibration of love is the direction we, inclusive of this solar system, this planet, Earth, and its people, are headed in the next evolutionary stage of our growth.

Know that all of the current events, and those we've experienced over the past few years, they are only manifestations of the end of the old cycle which is dying off, which must die off, before a new 'golden age' of humanity on this planet can begin.

So I say to you, give thanks, "wopila", to your community, whomever you include, for all of the people in your life, in this dimension and others; for the 'roof' over your head, for the food and clothing you do have, for all of those people who truly care about you... and for all that we have on this beautiful planet.

Remember, mitakuye oyasin. We are all related.
