As I was walking to mocha today (at Three Dogs Coffeehouse), I was stopped in the beautiful small park, by two crow. One was speaking to me, I felt. I thanked him for his being here and sharing his wisdom with me. "So glad, I am, that you are here", I said.

When I was returning home, I saw another crow circling, and hoping to get a photo of him, I had iPhone camera ready. I snapped several shots, as more of them came around, to rest in a pine near the house. They circled several times overhead, maybe 4 or 5 of them, and I got the photo above, which is my favorite.

I just looked up the symbolism for crow, and found this, at http://nativeamericanencyclopedia.com:

"Native American Indians were a deeply spiritual people and they communicated their history, thoughts, ideas and dreams from generation to generation through Symbols and Signs such as the Crow symbol. Native American symbols are geometric portrayals of celestial bodies, natural phenomena and animal designs. The meaning of the Crow symbol signifies wisdom. According to Native American legends and myths some tribes believed that the Crow had the power to talk and was therefore considered to be one of the wisest of birds. The sacred bird of the famous Ghost Dance was the crow. The Ghost Dance Religion used it as a symbol of the past when the crow had acted as a pathfinder for hunting parties. The feathers of the crow adorned their clothes and each dancer was to wear one eagle feather or one crow feather in their hair, The Sioux believed that when the great, final flood came to earth that the crow feathers would lift the ghost dancers from the ground to the safety of the heavens."

So it's apparent to me that I am traveling with the Guidance and Wisdom of Crow. Very significant to me that this meeting and communication occurred, and I sense it bodes well for the completion of the last leg of this journey.
