A Look Back at the Career of Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs' quirky brilliance was probably enough to make him a legend all by itself, but when you look at what he did for Apple you have to be impressed. He took over as interim CEO in 2007, almost as a trial period. When it got the job permanently, the company was still an under-dog by almost every measure. And now, the company is the envy of everyone from Microsoft to Sony. Here's how he did it.

Steve Jobs Resigns: Nothing Changes
Sascha Segan has read all the talk about the troubled post-Jobs future facing Apple and points out this small fact: Jobs really isn't going anywhere. Geek.com's Top Steve Jobs Moments
A lot of sites are doing Steve Jobs timelines, but Geek.com's is the best I have seen. Just scan the headlines and you can see the man's entire Apple career, or at least Act 2. From taking $1 salary long before it was fashionable to his plans for a new 150-acre campus, it is all here.

If you live on the east coast, you should check out all the ways to monitor the storm's progress.

Anonymous was threatening to annihilate the Facebook service and the question got asked: Just how you back up your Facebook info? There was silence. Clearly that was something we had to find out and share with readers. Jill Duffy figured it out, and it wasn't easy.

Linux Turns 20, Doesn't Look a Day Over 16
With all the Jobs news and the Hurricane threatening the East Coast, I Almost missed Linux turning 20 yesterday. Although it was never a success on the desktop, Linux dominate the world of supercomputers and turns up in the most surprising spots, everything from smart phones to routers to DVRs.
