IRDA: Health Insurance Portability From October 1 Posted: 18 Sep 2011 06:07 AM PDT The health insurance portability service, which would allow policyholders to switch insurers, is all set to be implemented from October 1, the Insurance regulatory and Development Authority said on Thursday. The scheme was earlier proposed to come into force from July 1, but was deferred for three months due to outstanding issues with insurance companies.
